Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale

Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale

STYLE: American Strong Ale
STATS: 7.2% ABV

Clear dark amber pour with a light expresso colored head. Has a hoppy, citrus smell with a hint of pine. Tastes of big hops, pine and also big bitterness. This one is not for the faint at heart. Also has a hint of citrus and dryness.

Pours with a light head and a semi-foggy golden color. It has a light, hoppy smell with a slight hoppy taste. A bit of a citrusy zest in there. The flavor is very light. Overall, not a good session beer.

Pour looks like a cloudy mahogany with a light cream colored head. I could smell some banana notes, very similar to the hefeweizen. It has a nice after taste. I got some creamy pear and banana flavor as well as some clove in there. Like I previously mentioned, it had similar notes to the hefeweizen just a bit darker. Beautiful seasonal beer.

Abita Hop Gator

Abita Hop Gator

STYLE: Maibock / Helles Bock
STATS: 8.25% ABV / 45 IBU

The beer pours cloudy, gold with an off-white head. It smells of high alcohol content with a bit of sweetness and hoppy. You also pick up some spicy and fruitiness in there due to the dry hops. Tastes malty with a hint of caramel, hops, & high alcohol. It goes down smooth and leaves a hint of bitterness.

This is one of their seasonal beers. It is a black pour from my growler. Beautiful, thick brown liquid with a tan color head. I can detect a small amount of coffee aroma. The initial taste is a bit bitter, but nothing overwhelming. It has a great ipa aftertaste. There is a decent hint of coffee, nicely hoppy. Overall, a great dark hoppy beer.

Southern Tier Choklat

STYLE: Imperial Stout (brewed w/ chocolate)
STATS: 10.0% ABV

A very opaque, dark brown pour w/ a thick caramel colored head. Smells strongly of chocolate w/ a hint of vanilla. As the head dissipates, you can hear the carbonation of this beer. The beer is heavy & creamy to the taste. Very sweet at first but w/ a slightly bitter aftertaste. For stout lovers like myself, this is a must try. If you're not into stouts, you may find this too sweet to drink for more than one pint. Still worth the try though.

A very dark brown pour w/ a thin white head. It smells slightly of coffee. Despite its dark appearance, the beer is light & crisp. It goes down smooth w/ notes of chocolate along w/ the coffee. Very sessionable. Keep Calm & Chive On w/ this excellent lager.

A hazy, golden pour w/ a thin white head. A light, citrusy aroma wafts to you nose immediately. The first taste also is reminiscent of citrus as a crisp lemony flavor comes through. Its followed by a slight tang but finishes clean. Very drinkable beer that screams summer.
